After all the press related to things like Napster, and piracy, I'm entirely convinced that artists are not getting enough, and that the RIAA is taking to much of the money to fight a case it will never win. That said, I think RIAA has the fix for the problem, but until then I will do what I can for the artists. However, I don't agree with DRM or itunes songs being only playable on ipods . That said, I'm a big fan of "converting" my music to mp3 once I buy it. If you haven't seen Noteburner, I strongly recommend it (despite the fact it's not entirely free), but it is pretty fast compared to some of the other methods of getting around DRM *cough* I agree entirely with the need to pay for music.
