CMS – Continual Migrane Strain

I am working on the CMS for the site. It is a painstaking process that I don’t want to ever have to do more than once. Therefore I am designing it first to be flexible to any site. This is a wise investment of my time. This means that it will wallow in the design pool for a little while until it is time to begin coding. Once that time has come it will be a matter of days before that is done and you see daily posting and updates. Until then you, and by you I mean all maybe one person who reads this site (me), must wait for regular updates. Until then, go shatter a cube! (I am not responsible for any damage to cubes or other geometrical objects.)

Oh an updating we will go…

Been updating here or there (can never really make up my on which it is here or there) during my free time. The CMS is on it’s way to getting…started. The sooner I do this the better because as of now updating is a not so fun task. I also need to work on a way to get at the past posts becasue I have now posted on the front page more than 5 times. I doubt anyone will ever go back and read those posts other than me but it is still something that I need to fabricate.

That’s all for now folks, have a nice day.

Have you shattered a cube today?

It’s as if many days have collapsed…

So I just changed it so the date command works properly as opposed to manually typing it in. This is to make it easier on my CMS (Content Management System). I don’t have the correct date in the format I want for the previous posts so they all get the same stamp. I have deleted all the test items in the musings page and will only put real items up from now on. That’s all for now, good night most likely because I won’t be posting for a few days as I build the CMS and get stuff to populate the musings page.

Victory is mine!

So I rocked MySQL’s world.

I got a relational database working that auto detects different types of musings and automatically, through php, creates a list for those musings. There is some manual input needed, mostly just a single entry in one database, but it truly is a nice streamlined way of doing things. I realize it isn’t rocket science, but it does get the job done.

That’s pretty much what I wanted to say this evening. With that I think I may just be off to bed before the sun comes up. Or maybe I could get started on the content management system that is looming over my head. If anyone has an idea how to get out of this it would be greatly appreciated. I would rather write some content than try and get a content management system up an working, even though it would be a great learning experience.

I appologize for any spelling or gramatical errors in this short piece of writing. It’s what you get from a shatteredcube and from a tired college student at 2:26 in the morning.

Good night all!
